If you want your 2005-2014 S197 Mustang to be able to dominate the straightaways and the twisties, whether you find them on the street or at the track, you need to invest in a good set of performance tires that can handle the challenge. The Nitto NT555 G2 is an ultra high performance Summer Tire that was engineered with the spirited driver in mind. The NT555 G2 will provide increased traction and straight-line stability, while giving you the confidence you need to take tight corners. NT555 G2 Tires are a great choice for street, track and strip applications.Silica Tire Compound. Nitto NT555 G2 Tires are made using a proprietary silica compound. Nitto uses a special bonding agent during their manufacturing process to increase the interaction between the base compound elements to further reinforce their chemical bonds. This specialized bonding agent helps create a tire with a higher compound stiffness which results in better cornering performance in both wet and dry conditions.Excellent Handling. The Nitto NT555 G2 features an all new directional tread pattern with twin center ribs and larger tapered tread blocks for excellent dry traction as well as increased cornering and straight-line stability. The Nitto NT555 G2’s tread pattern not only provides excellent handling to your ride, but also adds a great aggressive appearance to the look of your Mustang.Wet Weather Performance. The four circumferential center grooves and the lateral shoulder grooves of the Nitto NT555 G2 Tire effectively channel water from the contact patch to provide greater wet weather traction. The reinforced shoulder tread blocks of the NT555 G2 are designed improve both wet and dry cornering grip. This combination of grooves and tread blocks help to greatly reduce the possibility of hydroplaning.Application.     I swapped my 215/65R16 winter tires for this NITTOs summer tires. Despite the reduced wall-side in this summer tires, the ride confort did not differ much but definitely NOT worse than before. This tires felt very nice even on bumpy roads. Great traction, and provide confident handling on rainy days as well.
