    Do not remove shift sleeve boot housing ! Keep on and discard stock shifter only. Install the supplied sleeve under it. If your parking light does not light up in park, you need to pull out the cheap plastic black plunger and trim the top tip only, trim slowly until screw holes align and parking light turns back on WITHOUT putting any pressure on the shifter knob, shifter should float until screw holes are aligned and parking light comes back on. Do not over trim. Install screws, test and your parking light will work and your auto start will work also. Do not return item.

    This shifter looks great when installed however is too short and causes the button at the top of the shift shaft to engage. Like clicking a pen when the button at the top of the shifter is pushed in this will not allow the remote start to work and you will get a never ending door chime when you open your door when the car is off. Try it with your currently installed shifter and hold the button while you try your remote start as well as open the door you will hear the door chime go nuts. This shifter simply doesn’t fit, it fits if you don’t mind not being able to use the remote start and the door chime but I paid a lot of money for my car and that just don’t do. Another thing is since this shifter permanently depresses the button at the top of the shaft you can then shift it freely without applying any pressure or pushing down this feels like a safety issue to me. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    Everything was packaged nicely, the shifter handle is of good quality, and exactly what I needed to add a personal touch to it.

    The shifter knob was pretty easy to install and came with picture instructions. I opted to return this knob after learning that it deletes the keyless start option and causes a ding when the car is off, in park and the door opens. I don’t recommend if you like to use keyless start.

    I wanted to upgrade my shift knob but wanted something that looked like it was factory matched with my dash. This shift was perfect because I have the engine spun aluminum dash and the knob pairs with it nicely. It was easy to install and be sure to follow the tip with adding a rag underneath just in case you drop the screws.

    This is awesome! Looks great! Love holding my hand on it while driving! If you do the mod and change the gear shift plate and boot every time you park put up the emergency brake and it looks like a standard when u look in from the window!

    Like other reviews I had to trim the push rod down a bit to keep my remote start. The way I found was easiest to do this was to remove all the stock stuff off the shifter rod and if you put just this shifter on the shifter rod and try lining up the bolt holes you can see where it needs to be. I than used a file to whittle down the push rod to where the bolt holes line up. Make sure when you shift through the gears the park indicator in the dash lights up. Finish installing it.

    I have bought 2 of these now and back to back they have been defective. The shifter is too short and rests on the button of the transmission shifter button and it cannot read that it is in Park. Basically the shifter is too short and the car thinks it’s transitioning between Park and Reverse so the charm goes off constantly and the remote start wont work.
