lets put it this way, this intake complements the headers on my truck the truck sounds great, I’m not sure on the performance aspect of the intake but it does seem a bit snappier than it previously was. The open box was the way to go saved a ton on money and shipping was really fast.

Purchased this a few years ago for another truck. The install was easy, and I saw a hand calculated 1mpg on average after about a week of the install.

between 4 people it took us 3 hours to install yet it was worth it as it added a beautiful sound to it and a huge change in power.Worth the price yet a peice in the box came badly manufactured as the heat shield was backwards so we had to fold it ourselves.Amazing part to be honest

Three stars for me because when I was putting this together I had the grommet where the air Temp sensor goes snap in half and had to wait a week before I could complete it as I waited for the part. The heat shield also doesn’t line up very well where the original grommets were and leans against one of the radiator lines. Overall it looks and sounds nice, but was a pain as it felt like it was a tight fit.
DIY –
My truck was acting like an old, tired V-8 before I installed this cold air intake. I combined this with a throttle body spacer and it really woke up my truck! Acceleration and throttle response greatly improved. Now it feels like a V-8 should feel. While I had the chance, since I had the throttle body off, I cleaned the entire throttle body, which made a big difference. I believe my gas mileage has also improved considerably, but I can’t prove it. My odometer indicator light comes and goes when it feels like, so I can’t track my mileage. Instructions leave a lot to be desired. You get a bag of parts but none are identified. You have to be good at guessing which bolt goes where. You have to have a good supply of hardware on hand or live close to a hardware store if you mess up. It isn’t difficult to install, just plan twice the time that you planned for and it you will have a good outcome.

Awesome easy install, the directions were generic but with a mechanical mind it didn’t take long to figure it out.

Initially I had trouble with the rubber grommet that goes into the intake tube where the IAT sensor goes. It was such a tight fit that I had to jam it in there with a screw driver and once it was in I had to make the hole a little bigger to be able to fit the sensor in. The Instructions were a little vague, but other than that it’s a nice product that gave my truck more throttle response and really nice growl under the hood when in the higher RPM’s
