Very easy lift to install. There is minimal cutting requirements. It’s is very user friendly.

  2. RobertRankin

Easy to install except upper control arm might need to be adjusted to 2″-4″ if upper control arms are only good for 0″-2″. Also there are two different manual guide book for 2WD and 4WD.

Very happy so far, Im disabled and only did a 4” with the AMP Power Steps, gave me the look I was looking for, ride quality is good and almost as smooth as original, the tires I chose are expensive but very quiet in the cab still on the fwy. Overall Very Happy, I always got a lot of compliments on my truck, but even more now with the lift!

Quality item and all the parts were there to finish the install. Lifted struts and monotype shocks fit perfectly and very smooth ride after installation. Will definitely buy rough country products again

I was very happy with the fit and quality of this lift .

Install was pretty simple! The longest part was the old nuts and bolts being rusted as hell. All the hardware came with it in the box. My truck is just a tad bit higher than before with a 2 inch lift. So there is not much height difference but I can tell if I look closely.

i like this kit alot, i put this kit on a 2014 fx4 and the only complaint i have is that the instructions suck and there is not a install video that matches.

The quality of parts, hardware and even instructions were excellent. Not only did the instructions cover every single step but it also gave photos for the steps as well and wrench and socket size needed per step. Awesome! I painted my parts prior to install as well as the other new parts I purchased (upper, lower control arms; inner, outer rod ends; sway bar links and bushings. Parts still went together smoothly even with a couple coats of paint. I worked on it myself mostly and it took way more than 8 hours which I fully anticipated. I didn’t have a lift so I made due. The alignment was nearly spot on with just the tow needing to be adjusted (got lucky). The handling is comparable to stock but a little better actually. Small bumps were barely noticeably and larger bumps felt more like little lumps. With 35s under it, it doesn’t steer quite as well as stock but that’s because of the big tires and normal when building an off road rig. It looks amazing! Compliments right from the start from guys at the shop with getting the tires mounted and truck aligned. I added the kicker bars as well for more stability. All paint matched. I’m glad I didn’t cheap out and go with spacers and glad I didn’t go for the cheapest option for the shocks. It’s way better than I though a high lift truck would handle.

NOT GREAT, all the ball joints had to be replaced within a year, I had to purchase $400 worth of new ball joints 2 upper and 2 lower. Quality not on par with the cost. I have had a time getting the truck aligned, with the ball joints going out it ruined a brand new set of tires. If you buy their upper control arm, go ahead and get a really nice set of new ball joints. and grease them every time you change your oil. Total damage, 400 for tires, 600 for ball joints (had to get lowers changed twice), 3 alignments at 150 each, plus mechanics fee for installing new ball joints at around 400. so expect to put in another $1500 ON TOP.
