If you’re looking to improve the sound of your 2004-2008 Triton V8 engine, look no further than an aftermarket cat-back system. Made from corrosion resistant T304 or T409 stainless steel and featuring either 2.5″ or 3″ piping, aftermarket cat-backs provide smooth and quick exhaust flow which in turn produces less back pressure at the cylinder head and a natural deep sound that is more akin to something we would expect from a V8 F-150. Single-chamber mufflers will pop and crackle over the entire RPM range whereas a baffled or multi-chamber muffler, while still throaty and authoritative, will be somewhat more subdued. By design, all aftermarket cat-back kits are intended to be a bolt-on affair, meaning no cutting or welding of the pipes is necessary. Kits are presented with the choice of a side exit tip or a conventional rear exit setup. Couple a cat-back with specific 2004-2008 F-150 headers and you will not only have one mean sounding truck, but one that has the bite to match the bark. Great sound for the price. Very pleased. Would definitely recommend. My 4.6 sounds like a manly truck now

Installation instructions were worse than IKEA, too many parts (many pieces could have been pre-welded), no flex pipe which puts a lot of strain on the system and the hangers are iffy at best. Clamp everything down hard than you can imagine because the hangers don’t hold the system in place. Also, when you lift the truck up to full height, the passenger side leaf springs hits the exhaust pretty noticeably.

Really like the exhaust. The price beat all others and sounds great. Although I had it installed by my machanic so can’t say much about fitting. He charged 70 dollars so I assume it took about an hour and a half.

This system definitely wakes up the 5.4L F-150 with its exhaust note. The one thing I like its not to loud when compared to other systems. Just make sure you take your time, measure twice before cutting the piping to make the cat-back fit on your truck. I had to cut off about 1.5 inches for my SuperCrew.

Shipped quickly and was easy to install. It’s pretty much plug and play. It’s also affordable too! The system sounds great. It has the aggressive bite I was looking for.

Well it was cheap and I took a chance. The product does not fit week at all. I have my work done at a shop. It took over six hours to make this work. Now I will have to store the spare in the bed. Very disappointed.

The price of this kit was very good, it was hard to pass up. The quality and finish of the tubing seems to be well. Installation was a pain with the style of hangers supplied in the kit. I wish there was a fixed hanger attached to the piping. The adjustable hangers caused a lot of unnecessary movement in the pipes also causing me not able to get the tail pipes to exit evenly from side to side. The kit also didn’t come with the proper hardware to attach to the factory y pipe and didn’t have all the correct clamps included. Customer service was great to work with resolving the hardware issue.
