    To start- no instructions. It is a very basic to install exhaust but it took a call to the company to find out the mid pipe needs to be cut. I had to take 5.5 inches out of mine to fit my truck. Doesn’t quite fit the idea of “simple bolt on kit.” No matter how I position the mid pipe, muffler, and tail pipe the hanger to be installed will not line up on the frame as seen in other pictures. The tail pipe actually firmly rides against the frame and spring mount. With the Y pipe and tips attached they stick out the full width of the tip and clamp. Hideous. The only positive part of this kit is how good it sounds.

    Great looking product and sound. Downfall is no instructions for cutting front pipe or relocation of hangers. American trucks did their job as far as ease of ordering and quick delivery.

    Didn’t even come close to fitting. Would have fit an extended cab/bed truck perfectly. The pipes are all way to long. You can only cut so much on the provided pipe because it can only go on the hangers one way. Professional shops in my area don’t even wanna use the provided pipe. Extremely overpriced and WRONG fit&finish kit. Sounds great. Does drone though. Performance gain was noticable but I do have to spend extra money to have a custom shop make the pipes look like the picture to my trucks fitment. I’m leaving a negative review to warn other single cab standard bed owners and because the description clearly states this kit simply “bolts on” to ALL F150 bed/cab combinations. Using factory hangers “NO CUTTING, WELDING OR DRILLING REQUIRED”. . . BOLOGNA. There were also no instructions provided. I’ve installed long tube header kits on corvettes and mustangs that wasn’t this frustrating. I paid 500 dollars for a muffler, y pipe and some muffler tips essentially. Heavily disappointed.

    Read through many of the reviews before purchasing and found many reviews on both sides of an easy install and some people that had concerns. I am going to give an honest review of the fitment and the sound. To install it took roughly 30-45mins. Install was fairly easy although I will say you will most likely have to cut the pipe before the muffler as mine was too long to fit the muffler in. But the pipe coming longer allows you to trim it down to best fit your vehicle. I took off 11in on mine to make it fit (I own a 2015 F150 Ext Cab 6.5ft bed). Installing the rest is simply bolting the hanger that is provided and setting the pipes in the hangers. The exhaust sounds really cleaned and tamed, I will say it is not insanely loud as American trucks rates it as “very loud” but it has a deep tone and looks great. I have seen reviews about unclear instructions, I personally didn’t see instructions in the box or need them as it is just a tailpipe assembly. The only thing I had to figure out is that the factory hanger on the inside of the frame needs to be moved a little closer to the front of the vehicle where you will see holes that you can easily move the clips and hanger to. You can find the fitment gallery on Pypes website to see how it is supposed to look once installed which is all I looked at while installing.

    It was an easy install also added a good sound to it not real loud unless you really get in the gas
