Nitto developed their NT555 G2 Ultra High Performance Summer Tire for just this reason. NT555 G2 Tires will improve traction and straight-line stability, while giving you the confidence you need to take corners at speed. Nitto NT555 G2 Summer Tires are a great choice for wet and dry performance driving.Silica Tire Compound. Nitto NT555 G2 Tires are made using a proprietary silica compound. Nitto uses a special bonding agent during their manufacturing process to increase the interaction between the base compound elements to further reinforce their chemical bonds. This specialized bonding agent helps create a tire with a higher compound stiffness which results in better cornering performance in both wet and dry conditions.Excellent Handling. The Nitto NT555 G2 features an all new directional tread pattern with twin center ribs and larger tapered tread blocks for excellent dry traction as well as increased cornering and straight-line stability. The Nitto NT555 G2’s tread pattern not only provides excellent handling to your ride, but also adds a great aggressive appearance to the look of your Mustang.Wet Weather Performance. The four circumferential center grooves and the lateral shoulder grooves of the Nitto NT555 G2 Tire effectively channel water from the contact patch to provide greater wet weather traction. The reinforced shoulder tread blocks of the NT555 G2 are designed improve both wet and dry cornering grip.     Tires work amazing I’m putting over 400rwhp to the ground and I can say I’m happy with the amount of traction I have from a dead stop, could almost pass for a raidial tire. I’ve driven in heavy rain and they also do good couldn’t be happier for the money spent.

    Ordered a new set of rims and after some checking of reviews here and else where, decided to go with these. Boy am I glad I did, the tires perform very well, have very little road noise and the traction is awesome. So far they look to be wearing very good, but I only have about 2,000 miles on them. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend these!

    They are amazing on the road. Makes the mustang look very aggressive with the wide tires on the back, the tread pattern looks cool on it too.

    I had the older nt555s before these, which i liked, except in the rain. These stand up to everything I’ve thrown at them and they ride smooth. The wet traction seems better also. I would definitely purchase these again.

    I needed more grip after adding more than 200rwhp to my Mustang. This tire did that. I should have gone with the 295/40-18 to keep my speedometer accurate.

    After thirteen years, it was time to replace my original Nitto staggered set of tires on my ’05 GT Coupe, which is an occasional driver and garage-kept. As these had been great tires for 20,000 miles, I decided to replace them with the newer Nitto summer performance tires. I bought another staggered set (same sizes), and as soon as I drove off from my installer, I was amazed at how great the traction was! My GT is pushing 400 ponies, and these tires grabbed superbly! I cannot answer how they perform on wet surfaces, as my GT is not driven under wet conditions unless I get caught in a rain shower. I highly recommend them for anyone wanting a great tire for their Mustang.

    These tires are, as the title says, much better than Mickey Thompson’s I had before. They have more treadlife and more grip in areas it’s needed. This size doesn’t rub either and fits my 18x9s just fine
