Nitto NT555 G2 Tires are made using a proprietary silica compound. Nitto uses a special bonding agent during their manufacturing process to increase the interaction between the base compound elements to further reinforce their chemical bonds. This specialized bonding agent helps create a tire with a higher compound stiffness which results in better cornering performance in both wet and dry conditions.Excellent Handling. The Nitto NT555 G2 features an all new directional tread pattern with twin center ribs and larger tapered tread blocks for excellent dry traction as well as increased cornering and straight-line stability. The Nitto NT555 G2’s tread pattern not only provides excellent handling to your ride, but also adds a great aggressive appearance to the look of your Mustang.Wet Weather Performance. The four circumferential center grooves and the lateral shoulder grooves of the Nitto NT555 G2 Tire effectively channel water from the contact patch to provide greater wet weather traction. It’s a good tire, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t think its necessarily the greatest one on the market. Clearly, I mean look at the price. Anyway, like other reviews suggest as will mine, this is not a good cold tire. You need some heat in these puppies before they really start to grip. Otherwise their great! They also tackle rain and hydroplaning with ease. I bought these 275’s to go in the front of my 2006 Mustang GT, and with a lowered suspension (Ford performance lowering springs), these things rub just a little little tiny bit on the inner fender. Will have to roll your fenders on the inside just a bit. Hope this helped!
