The NT555 G2 is Nitto’s ultra high performance Summer Tire that was engineered especially for the hard driving performance enthusiast. Nitto’s NT555 G2 will increase your Mustangs traction and handling capabilities allowing you to blast down straightaways and take corners with confidence.Silica Tire Compound. Nitto NT555 G2 Tires are made using a proprietary silica compound. Nitto uses a special bonding agent during their manufacturing process to increase the interaction between the base compound elements to further reinforce their chemical bonds. This specialized bonding agent helps create a tire with a higher compound stiffness which results in better cornering performance in both wet and dry conditions.Excellent Handling. The Nitto NT555 G2 features an all new directional tread pattern with twin center ribs and larger tapered tread blocks for excellent dry traction as well as increased cornering and straight-line stability. The Nitto NT555 G2’s tread pattern not only provides excellent handling to your ride, but also adds a great aggressive appearance to the look of your Mustang.Wet Weather Performance. The four circumferential center grooves and the lateral shoulder grooves of the Nitto NT555 G2 Tire effectively channel water from the contact patch to provide greater wet weather traction. The reinforced shoulder tread blocks of the NT555 G2 are designed improve both wet and dry cornering grip. This combination of grooves and tread blocks help to greatly reduce the possibility of hydroplaning.Application.     Tires are super soft, and don’t last long. Grip isn’t the best even when warmed up. I had a better experience with $75 all season sumitomos.

    I have the stock 02 GT rims and put the stock 245/45/r17 on all 4 (no tire bulge). These tires are great in the rain, which is exactly what I wanted to improve (daily driver).

    Compared to the tires that were on the car, these work great for handling and have good traction in the rain. These tires were just what I was looking for, for the price. Can’t beat them!

    Last year I bought my 2001 Stang convertible just to drive around in. There were quite a few chips in the paint which I touched up but some are stIll noticeable. Before buying the car I knew the rims and tires had to go. After much research I decided package from AMERICAN MUSCLE. Now when I walk towards the Stang I don’t see anything but the tires and rims and they look so SWEET.

    Tires ride good doesn’t do real grate on cold or wet roads but as a performance summer tire it is a very good value to me especially since I only drive my car in fair weather

    Very pleased with this tire. It’s quiet and seems to be wearing well. I have matching 315’s on the back and they hook up great. Overall I recommend them, a great option for a street tire.

    These tires are perfect for dry and wet conditions in the summer. Great if you want to hit up a couple track days.

    So far these tires are great. I got them installed on a set of Bullitt wheels as a package deal. Great price and they ride and look good. Can’t rate the wet traction as I don’t drive mine in rain. It is fair weather pony.
