Then it may be time to upgrade to a new set of sticky tires.  The NT555 G2 is Nitto’s ultra high performance Summer Tire that was developed especially for the spirited driver that wants quick, clean acceleration off the line and the ability to take corners with confidence in both wet and dry weather conditions. Nitto’s NT555 G2 Tires are ideal for use on the street, track and strip.Silica Tire Compound. Nitto NT555 G2 Tires are made using a proprietary silica compound. Nitto uses a special bonding agent during their manufacturing process to increase the interaction between the base compound elements to further reinforce their chemical bonds. This specialized bonding agent helps create a tire with a higher compound stiffness which results in better cornering performance in both wet and dry conditions.Excellent Handling. The Nitto NT555 G2 features an all new directional tread pattern with twin center ribs and larger tapered tread blocks for excellent dry traction as well as increased cornering and straight-line stability. The Nitto NT555 G2’s tread pattern not only provides excellent handling to your ride, but also adds a great aggressive appearance to the look of your Mustang.Wet Weather Performance. The four circumferential center grooves and the lateral shoulder grooves of the Nitto NT555 G2 Tire effectively channel water from the contact patch to provide greater wet weather traction. The reinforced shoulder tread blocks of the NT555 G2 are designed improve both wet and dry cornering grip. This combination of grooves and tread blocks help to greatly reduce the possibility of hydroplaning.Application.     This tire is a good tire for warm weather being of softer stickier type of material as stated. Not an all season type of tire for your money because it wears faster than the all season tires on my 2011 V6 Mustang

    The tires look great and function well….even in New England winter. I do not recommend using them for daily driving in winter though, it might be risky. They are perfect for everything else

    These tires arrived promptly, they took very little weights to balance, once I got them on my car the handle amazingly. I haven’t been able to push them hard enough to experience any understeer or oversteer yet which I am happy about. One other great thing is they’re made in America.

    The traction on these tires are amazing! the mustang really sticks to the ground and when it comes to launches it really sticks with little effort. It also gives the body style and stance a more aggressive look compared to stock Michelin tires. Quick tip when buying them, its cheaper and easier to take the tires to a shop like Wal-Mart or Sears auto who will install all 4 tires and balance for a real good deal and saves you time and hassle on doing it on your own at home.
