Using a special compound formulated for both dry and wet traction, the Street Comp has a non-directional asymmetrical design for superior summer-oriented performance and features a 300 AA A UTQG rating.

    This is a replacement set. First go round lasts longer if you drive like an old man.

    I just purchased a 2007 Shelby GT and wanted a 20″ wheel and tire set up for it. I really liked the Shelby Razor wheel in Gunmetal gray, and really didn’t know what tires I wanted. I typically look a tread pattern in addition to the size I need. I ordered the 20″x9″ Razors with Mickey Thompsons 255x35Rx20’s all around. The tires are soft and therefore ride a little softer than the stock tires, they’re new so road noise is minimal, we get a lot of rain here in Oregon, but the Shelby pretty much stays home in bad weather so I really can’t speak to wet surface driving. Shelby being an American car I guess Mickey Thompson seemed more American to me:) So, a good overall choice.

    This is my second set of MT Street Comp tires. Although not as “sticky” as I would like, they do have good wear and surprisingly good grip on wet roads.

    305 in the back and 255 in the front. Looks nice and mean. Tires hook really good in warm weather. Also perfectly fine in the rain.

    Not only do they look excellent, but they drive incredibly in regular conditions, and in my first big rain storm around here in Florida ,I pushed the car to see how well it worked in the extreme wet, and I was very, very impressed , almost couldn’t tell it was even raining.

    I had heard of the name and the classic drag strip stories of Mickey Thompson slicks but had no experaince with this tire until I recently ordered a tire wheel package from AM. Having drove on them now for 50 miles I am impressed! They are quiet and smooth while also being very sticky. I prefer Pirelli p zeros, but I beleive I have found a solid alternative in terms of value.

    Bad choice in tires. I bought a set of these tires and find them to be very noisy. They make a whirlling sound that only gets louder with speed. Mine were bought mounted and balanced with a set of 20” rims. They were painted after the balance, and the paint caused them to be off balance when I had them installed. Today, just one month after installation, the low tire indicator light came on; So much for the nitrous oxide fill, as I had to put regular air to top them off past the low level. All in all, this is a bad purchase for me. I regret buying these rims and tires and would live to get a refund.
