    I bought this system because I’ve had one on my Focus ST for 5 years and just like with that system, this one for my 2004 F-150 4×4, 5.4 fit up without a hassle. The main hassle is just like it is with any aftermarket exhaust, and that is with getting the tailpipes lined up straight. This part always takes patience and time. I’ve finally gotten mine looking good. I like the sound, which is definitely more throaty than stock. Who know about performance gain, but the system looks and sounds great! It took me about 2.5hours to install, but that included going back and forth for tools, since I don’t have a garage and work under a carport.

    Great product. Sounds great, definately louder than I expected. Not raspy at all, it has a super deep and pretty brutal sound. The loudness is closer to a Borla S Type, maybe a little louder. Had a slight fitment issue in that the tips sit pretty high and was hitting my fender flare. I didn’t expect this issue based off of the customer build photos, but I put in the extended rubber hangers instead of factory ones.

    Personally I clean the system with brake cleaner then prime and paint before installation.

    Very happy with this exhaust! The note is loud and aggressive without being poppy, dronie or obnoxious. I get lots of complements on the sound and appearance. Only negative is that the polished finish on the muffler did not hold up to the winter road salt. installation was easy. One cut to the resonator delete pipe and the kit just bolts in.

    Very loud and a lot of drone in the cab. I have a 56 f100 with a 302 that has dual side exit glass packs and this has much more drone in the cab. Also had to modify both rear hangers to avoid hitting the front leaf spring brackets with the belltech 2/4 drop kit. Great product and would definitely recommend. If your looking for it to be a tiny bit quieter/tame I recommend getting the kit with the resonator.

    Never had a system from MBRP. The install was pretty straight forward. Took under 2 hours from start to finish. When completed, I was happy to hear the deeper tone it made. Some things I noticed: the tail pipe for the passenger side is a little shorter then the driver side. I wasn’t able to have the top as far out as I wanted. And I spent a lot of time adjusting it attempting to But no worries. The hanger for the driver side pipe, could be wider and have a little more means to secure it the the frame…..but it works. Overall, I am very satisfied for this exhaust system.

    I was very skeptical and worried about this exhaust. Didn’t know how to install it, what it would sound like, or what the quality would be. Safe to say all of my expectations were exceeded. The quality of the 409 grade steel is excellent and the fit and finish was basically perfect, aside from a small issue with one of the clamps that I had to fix on my own. The installation videos provided were very helpful as well. Now, this exhaust system is MBRP’s Race Exhaust, which I found out upon startup being that it wasn’t said in the description, and although I didn’t know it was going to be that deep and aggressive, I love it! Definitely a solid 3.5-4/5 on the wake the neighbor scale. Highly HIGHLY recommended.
