I give this kit a 4/5 star due to the included band clamp issue. The system looks good and sounds good. 3 inch extension pipe give for a deeper rumble. The band clamps in the kit do not tighten very well. Best to get U bolt style clamps, like in the installation video. Comes with 3 inch chrome tips, but I added RBP black 4 inch tips for personal preference.

Sounds Great ! But the 2 1/2 ” clamps don’t fit over the pipes had to spread them apart and remove the flat washers to get the nut started. The 2 1/2 ‘ clamp no way would go over the intermediate pipe had to use a regular C- clamp. I also had to get a longer bolt for the 3’ clamp so you could put the hanger bracket on it. And expand the left over axle pipe so the tail pipe would fit in.

Not too hard to install when reviewing the video. Allow an hour or more to get the old system off. Also, I have a Crew Cab, 5.5 ft bed and the instructions said to cut the pipe to 31″. I did exactly that but should have cut it 32 inches instead. I had to go get a sleeve because it was just slightly short and couldn’t get a good clamp down on it without an exhaust leak. My 5.4 V8 motor sounds good!

This is simply a 2 1/2″ dual exhaust. There is no 3″ mandrel bent tubing. The only 3″ pipe is your 3″ mid pipe that comes off the Y pipe. I don’t recommend this exhaust if you’re looking for dual 3″ exhaust.

I bought my truck used, one thing I liked about it was the sound. The old exhaust system rusted out and started falling off, so I was forced into making a decision. I was concerned a new exhaust would be too quiet, but I also didn’t want an obnoxiously loud exhaust either. I bought this system without knowing much about MBRP, and never having installed an exhaust before. I am a DIY guy, but wasn’t sure what to expect. On a rainy day I put the truck in the garage and decided to give it a shot. It took about 3 hours by my self and no lift. The majority of time was trying to get the old system off (rusted bolts) but I ended up just cutting all of it off ahead of the rusted bolts since the MBRP kit came with a longer extension pipe than I needed for the SuperCab. Turns out the rusted system was a Flowmaster. The new system bolted right up, even the extra hanger for dual exhaust was easy to install. I love the sound, it’s loud enough the people know you’re in a V8 truck, but no drone and not obnoxious. My wife and kids say they know when I’m home though! Very happy.

I bought this exhaust after an exhaustive search for the right system for my needs and wants. This system is super easy to install, and use of a lift helps with that. Also a second set of hands is helpful. It took me and my buddies worker about an hour to install this exhaust and that was not steady working lol. The fir and finish is amazing for an exhaust kit that is on the lower end of the price scale. Every part was ready to go and I’m pleased with the interior resonating level as well as the exterior level. My F150 sounds like a truck now . I guess if your on the fence and don’t want to get what everyone else has, then this is the exhaust for you ! Hands down best exhaust for a daily driver.

It’s a nice system, good quality. BUT The hangers supplied are not sufficient and didn’t line up to the frame of the truck… I actually had to take my truck to a muffler shop. They had to weld better brackets and replace the hangers. Cost me an extra $100 to have it done right. I am happy with the system, sounds good . Just not happy with the mounting situation. I like doing my own repairs so I had a hard time actually taking it to a shop.
