Exhaust fits great no complains makes v6 sound beefy

It beautiful when you open the box! All that crome! (Once I got the old one out.) With a little work it came right out. I took my time. Didn’t have to cut it, either. It’s cat back, so it want on in about 30 minutes. The only problem I had was the clamps they supplied, one broke trying to tighten it. And a few others just do not work at all. I had to get the original clamps. Not as sexy, but I want the thing to stay on! Took a little bit of adjusting. Helps if you have someone to help. I did not. Great project for kids to help. Not to technical.

Got this exhaust for my 2012 Crew Cab 6.5″ XLT. I paid Midas (budget exhaust shop) to install it. Install consisted of cutting the factory exhaust so I didn’t want to mess with that and I wanted it done right on a lift with proper tools. The exhaust note is wonderful. I’m a guy in my 40’s and I’m done with obnoxious attention seeking exhausts on my cars….but I need something that lets the V8 notes shine and not sound factory whispy like the V6. This exhaust is perfect….it has a slightly muffled growl that just rumbles…no rasp…no cracking or popping. It’s perfect for daily driving but when you get on it ….it thumps. Best mod I’ve done to my truck, would rebuy 10/10 times. I have a K&N panel filter and no tune, I saw zero noticeable performance gain.

Looks great. Noise when you get on it but quiet when crusing. Give it top rating.

This exhaust is loud enough to tell that you have an aftermarket exhaust but quiet enough to stay friends with your neighbors. I put it on in about 3 hours and now she purrs. I wish they would’ve given an extra clamp for the beginning piece because mine was very rusted but oh well. Great product so far.

Definitely not the loudest exhaust on the block, but for sure the most eye-catching. This exhaust gives off a very deep rumbling sound upon startup and idle and then becomes a throaty, growling monster above 3,000 RPMs. I would also like to mention (at least in the state of Ohio) that this exhaust is technically illegal since it dumps before the rear axle. However, I highly doubt any cop would ding you for it since it’s fairly common in some trucks. I also had one minor issue during install (speaking of which, I would recommend a truck lift in order to remove the stock exhaust since my dad and I had a lot of trouble getting it off without one). The stock flange that connects to the rest of the exhaust systems has the nuts welded into it, so, I had to get all new nuts and bolts in order to attach the new flange and exhaust properly. Other than that, there were no issues on install, and it fits underneath the truck very well with even some wiggle room. I did notice a slight boost in performance, but nothing major. I’ve gotten several positive comments about its sound and looks. Also for around $700 here on American Trucks (You guys are awesome by the way, keep up the great work!) I think it’s well worth the -$300 off its original pricing. All in all, I’m very pleased with this product as it stands out as a staple of my truck. On a side note, I recommend running an aftermarket cold air intake with it, to maximize performance and sound quality.

Product exactly as advertised…excellent quality, great increase in sound as deep, mellow tone, not so as to wake up the folks next door, but makes it’s presents known. To me, a 73yo cotton top, the install directions were a little “shaky” but viewing youtube videos helped.

From a quality perspective the system is exactly what I expected from Magnaflow. Everything fit like it was supposed to. The directions were clear. The only negative to watch out for is the through bolt they provide for the rear hanger is a bit short. Also, my kit did not come with nuts for the bolt. Fortunately we installed at my brother’s body shop so finding bolts was not big deal. From a loudness perspective, I like these. They are loud enough that you can hear my 5.0 but not so loud that it impeeds the ability to have a conversation with the factor blue tooth. I will say when the engine gets higher in the revs it really wakes up and sounds fantastic. All in all I am really pleased with my decision to purchase this system.

I was looking for a system that had a good deep tone but not over the top or too much annoying interior drone. This system was made to hook up to the stock resonator on my 2013 F150 5.0. I already had a resonator delete on it so I hooked it up that way. It sounds fantastic! Deep tone and some interior drone but not so much as to be a bother. Definitely wakes up the 5.0 when I stand on it. I had saved my stock resonator in case it was too loud but I will not be reinstalling it.

I have had the Magnaflow exhaust on my 2014 F-150 5.0 for a little over a year. I reviewed these right after I put them on and wanted to update my review. First off I still love them. The sound is great and not too loud under normal driving circumstances. My only word of caution with this exhaust system is that the truck gets really loud when pulling a trailer. We just got back from a trip from Michigan to North Carolina pulling a 5,500 pound travel trailer through the mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway. There were times when the truck was in 3rd gear pulling about 4,000 RPMs. Under that load it is loud. So my word of caution is if you are going to be pulling a trailer over long distances be prepared to not love the exhaust as much as you will in town without a trailer. I still rate this a 5, great exhaust, easy install, great fit and finish with a fantastic sound (under normal driving conditions.)
