This product looks good on the truck and the DRL bar was easy to wire to your stock headlights. 100% recommend.

So first of all I want to say I hope this review helps anyone that decides to take the risk like I did with these headlights. The wiring….oh boy the wiring. I hope you have an Automotive Electrical Certificate of some sort because this does not come with ANY instructions whatsoever. For the driver side I hardwired the DRL bar into the side marker light, easy peasy black to black and white to the yellow wire. Now the arrow style blinkers…those were interesting. I attempted to use vampire clips to tape into the harness used for the OEM blinker but must not have had a good connection as those clips are pretty much junk to deal with anyway. I then decided to just cut off the factory harness with plenty of leeway if I needed to reconnect it at any point down the road. I hooked the black wire from the headlight to the black wire on the harness. Easy enough. Now there are two more wires from the harness, a yellow one and a weird greenish blue one. I havent done a lot of automotive electrical so I’m not sure if this is common sense or not but I had no idea what to do in this situation. Well I attempted to take the yellow wire from the headlight and connect it to the two remaining wires from the truck harness. Absolutely did not work. I tried so many different configurations just to find out hours later that the weird bluish green wire on the opposite side of the black wire was the power, which in turn made these headlights run perfectly. Now, I just have a condensation issue that will be diagnosed as well. Only in the passenger side headlight so I will match it up with the driver side and make sure everything is kosher. Anyways, I hope this review helps at least one person as I wish someone had made a specific review like mine. Also, side note, this headlight is manufactured by DNA Motoring and their customer service is garbage. Good day.

These headlights are definitely an option to consider when wanting to mod your truck, and stay budget friendly. They completely change the look of your 12th gen for only about 200$. However, these aren’t completely plug and play, it involves wiring the DRLs to existing lights. IF YOU’RE NEW TO THIS, PLEASE HAVE A BUDDY HELP!! Saved me a world of hurt. Would 100% recommend. *also keep in mind these aren’t completely flush headlights, but still look great*

  4. JamesMath –

Easy to install took about 30 mins once figured out how to. Look great no problems so far

  5. Leddrl –

The overall headlight is good the DRL’s look sick and the installation process took 10 mins for my buddy to install both. The only downside to it is the headlight bulb it really sucks at night and especially in the rain I have to use my fog lights to be able to see would recommend putting in LEDs in which I have ordered some jus waiting to install

I couldn’t find any instructions on how to install these anywhere so I hope this helps someone in conjunction with “HoldFast36’s” review. To start there is NO wire splicing, cutting, or anything necessary for this install. – Remove original headlight housing per usual. Unscrew, and unplug everything connecting the truck to the headlight. – Once removed, remove the blinker light module from the original headlight housing and remove the bulb itself from the plug. – Take the blinker plug over to the new headlight. – Plug the flat connector coming from the blinker hole in the new housing into the piece you just took the old bulb out of (look at the color of the wires and make sure black matches to black when plugged in). – Push excess wire into the blinker hole and Install the blinker plug as you normally would, match the holes up and twist clockwise to lock. – Plug headlight connecter in as usual. – If you want a corner light, you will also need to use the corner marker light from the old headlight in the old light and transfer the plug and the bulb over to the new headlight housing. After that, you can reinstall the new headlight as you normally would. I hope this helps! Will update after I’ve had them for awhile.

bad leak water in light would buy put old light back in

These headlights are a great replacement for your stock housings, and really make it look like a brand new truck. My only issue was with the projector bulbs that came in the housing, I upgraded to LEDs, the difference was night and day. Would definitely recommend.

  9. JIT –

They look great and have a great appeal to them easy to install but about a week into to them they started fogging, especially if it rains or snows it gets foggy inside the lens and theres nothing you can do. Honestly you get what you pay for, I went cheap and got a low quality product

I would not recommend these to anybody. I’ve had two sets within a year. First set lasted a month with a lot of condensation. American trucks replaced them with a second set and now the one bar on each side for the two bars is starting to burn out. Close to $400 for headlights to not last. Save your money for a better quality headlight
