    First off, let’s start with the negative and why I removed 1 star from the rating. The kit I ordered did not come with the 6″ to 3.5″ insert that should have been in it. I have yet to hear back from this site’s support on this issue after emailing them 3 days ago. I ended up contacting K&N directly with the issue and they have already sent the part to me. With the negative out of the way, I love this air intake so far. It really woke up the engine as far as sounds and some performance. My exhaust is a little louder plus the sounds under the hood have increased, which I love. The engine also shifts easier and has a little more noticeable power. Installation was quick and easy, once I finally got the missing part. This all black intake looks really good under the hood with my “anti-chrome” look.

    So it looks good. Not sure about price vs. performance. It’s a bit more go, but not really that noticeable. Doesn’t really line up with the ram air hood I have, which bums me out. Sounds good to me when you floor it, but with my flow master exhaust, I don’t hear anything else under normal driving.

    Easy to install you can feel it now my truck is a truck. I can not wait to get my ram air hood installed.

    There’s something about replacing a chunk of factory plastic with a quality, metal aftermarket mod. The install was as easy as can be. The only advice I would offer is to let the rubber gasket for the filter housing bake in the sun for a while before trying to make those 90 degree bends. Otherwise, you can certainly hear a little more growl from under the hood at all RPM levels. While I certainly didn’t see a miraculous horsepower gain or mileage improvement, the truck does respond more enthusiastically.

    As expected from KandN, only complaint is wish they would have sealed air box off a little better.
