I was looking for a cat back system that was budget friendly, didn’t cause the wife to lose her mind over the sound and this was perfect. We take my truck on long road trips, I love how this I’d great a hwy speeds and we can still hold a conversation. I cannot recommend this enough for any 5.0L F-150 owner out there.

Bought this exhaust from reading the reviews that were posted. Wow!!! Definitely spot on. Was looking for an exhaust with an aggressive sound and easy on the wallet. This system by far out did what I expected. Cold start is loud and aggressive. Probably gonna make some of my neighbors a little upset on this early morning start ups but they’ll be ok lol. Inside the cab isn’t too bad at all and little drone while cruising on the highway.

Quality and workmanship gets 5 stars. The sound and performance also gets five stars. The price for this system being 304 Stainless steel, I give it 6 stars.

Startup with this thing is loud. I mean way louder then what I was anticipating. I am curious what the next level up sounds like, it’s gotta make ears bleed. When the truck warms up it does calm down to bass rumble. Drone is there but minimum. Still can’t believe that medium is that loud, maybe a decibel scale on the exhausts would be helpful. Installation took a couple of hours. Mostly due to stock system removal. With a lift, maybe 45 mins to an hour off and on. From the ground I had to figure out to lift the body by placing a jack on the frame. This widens the gap between the rear axle and bed enough to fit the stock exhaust through. No other way to pull the exhaust out without cutting. Took me time to figure that part out, but if I had known it, maybe 1-1.5 hours total removal and install, if that.

Excellent quality exhaust at a great price. I feel like this K&N is really getting lost here. Looks smart on the truck and it’s louder than I expected. There’s a sweet sounding thumping tone when cruising between the 30’s and 50’s, and it’s loud, aggressive and turning heads accelerating. It really shows off the v8. MPG has gone up and that’s all I’ve noticed. I’m not really into much more performance info than that. Did the install myself, hardest part was getting the OEM exhaust out with the truck only on rhino ramps. The actual install of this took maybe an hour and took my time with a beer. A professional shop would probably fit this thing inside 30 mins tops.

I used to have a dual pipe Chevy and I’ll argue this single tip can be just as loud, but it can be quite too when cursing at 60 unless you put it in sport mode, easy install did it myself.

I had been looking at exhausts for awhile wanting something that sounded good, didn’t break the bank, and was good quality. I decided to try K&N, and I’m pretty happy with it. When the mechanic pulled my truck around at the dealership I was surprised. IT’s pretty aggressive, but it sounds awesome. In the cab you hear a slight rumble at idle and at the 2400+ range. Highway driving at the 1700-1900RPM range it gets rough, I found that I crack a window and that relieves the pressure in the cab. It’s pro0bably not something you want for a 500 mile trip but it’s not bad. I pull a car trailer on the weekends to the track and I don’t mind it and there’s no headache. When you start it in the mornings there’s going to be a little bark but it’s not going to annoy the neighbors unless you want to, or you live on top of each other.

Love the sound. barks into life on a cold start then settls into a deep rumble.

After watching some videos comparing this exhaust to the stock exhaust, I expected the raspy sound to open up to a rumble with a slight volume increase. Well, it certainly isn’t raspy anymore, but this thing is LOUD. It may wake your neighbors. After driving for a couple days with this thing, I still haven’t encountered a car on the road louder than my truck. The sound is great, it has a deep rumble that resonates into an absolute howl with a cold pipe around 3000 RPM. My instant impression is that it was too loud, but it makes me smile. No dyno or tune, but the performance feels the same.

I’d love to give 5 stars but this is not 304 stainless. After a year the whole pipe is rusted, 409 at best. I’ll add pictures later. This is a very loud exhaust, a good amount of drone in the cab. Sounds great until 4500 rpm and it starts to slap pap pap. Still good product for the price.
