    I bought a 2017 3.5 Lariat and put this on the same night I got the truck. So I can’t compare it a stock baseline. Especially since my old truck was very gutless, anything is an improvement. Install was super easy even for a guy who’s not that mechanically inclined. Not sure on the noise. The Lariat is so quiet I hardly can hear the motor.

    I ran a drop in filter for years but had upgraded to BBK’s 73mm throttle body, MPT’s high boost tune and SOS performance coil packs and felt the need to upgrade in this area as well. I’ve been running this JLT intake for about 2 1/2 weeks now and can definitely say it was the best choice for me. You can feel & hear the difference all throughout the power band. Even when cruising around you can tell the engine is running more efficiently and MPG’s and throttle response reflect that! No engine lights or issues at all. JLT’s cold air intake coupled with American Trucks is by far a “Win Win!”

    I’ve had JLT intakes before on my mustangs, and have always liked the quality/finish/results. I ordered this for my 2018 F150 3.5TT expecting the same. Great quality, great finish and easy to install. Sounds great under acelleration. You hear the low grunt of the engine as well as the whistle of the turbos now. 1 think to watch out for is the IAT sensor in the OEM intake tube. It rotates 90* and then pulls straight out. I did not know this and broke mine trying to force it out. Picked one up locally for $23, but still a pain. Long story short, I will keep ordering JLT intakes for my Ford vehicles because of they quality/fit/finish/performance.

    The first thing I did when I bought my 03 Cobra was install a JLT CAI. It picked up 13 RHP. I don’t what it’s worth on my 2016 3.5 Ecoboost but I will say. 1. I replaced a factory intake with a drop-in K&N. It was a improvement over the paper filter and you could hear the engine and turbos much better. The Factory intake is quite good and with a K&N filter gives you the best bang for your buck IMO. 2. The JLT just looks good installed. Fit and finish are perfect. 3. The engine now feels less restricted and revs quick! A total new feeling in SPORT MODE. The only other so called performance mods are a AFE Quantum CAI scoop and resonantor delete. I’m very happy so far and I would recommend it.

    Great product! Feels like I have better throttle response, added a little engine noise which sounds great. No to loud but just enough to know something is different. When the turbos spool you definitely can hear them now as well! Very happy so far with this CAI.

    Finish is great but fit isn’t perfect. It’s close…but not perfect because it’s keeping the hood pushed up from its OEM resting position. A little trimming on the foam seal and I think it will be good to go. Also, instructions aren’t in best order. Install vent tube insert BEFORE installing the actual intake. Otherwise you will either take the intake back off for access…OR…be reaching over/around the intake assembly.

    After wasting countless hours trying to install a competitors system,( and having to return it) this installation was a breeze. The throaty sound is great and from time to time you can hear the turbo whine too.
