This system sounds awesome, really brings the true 5.0 sound out of the v8 f150. Installed my self. Took about 2 1/2 hours. Although it definitely would have went faster if I had a lift or jack stands. Getting the stock system out took a bit of time but I ended up jacking the body up slightly, tires still on the ground I found this made it way easier to get the stock system over the rear. I believe the site has it rated 3/5 on the wake the neighbors scale. If you’re looking for something not too loud this might not be right for you. Cold starts are quite loud until it’s warmed up. Really no drone till about 70-75 mph on the highway. Overall I’m very pleased with the American thunder system

This kit is decent, did have few issues with installing it. Not all the pipes slid together like they should, had to bang few of them together. This is a 3” inlet for the muffler and my factory pipe is 2.5” so had to buy a couple of adapters and clamps. I did get it together after about a day of trying to get it to line up. After a week of driving I finally went in and had an exhaust shop adjust and weld the system. Now I’m happier with it. However, I think next time I will just go to an exhaust shop and have them make my exhaust instead buying a kit.

Easy to install and everything fit great. Went with the straight out pipes. Deep, throaty sound when accelerating, quiet when coasting and louder than stock when cruising 60-70 mph but not annoying. Very happy with the sound and slight performance gain.

I spent all day but could’ve been done in an afternoon. I opted for the bit bigger super 40 muffler & 2-1/2 back pipes (Amer’ Thunder). I didn’t use the tips cause I’m trying to keep it all black. I just angled down the last pipes and it’s great. Almost un-noticable noise increase inside at freeway cruising (keeping my cowgirl happy). On the outside It turns heads as folks wonder whats going on under the hood. I also added the AFE blue pipe intake system. Don’t know about performance gains, but I could hardly lift the recycling today as I toted the sawed to pieces factory system out to the curb. That alone has to help !!

Haven’t heard it from the outside, but it’s louder in the cab than I expected. Sounds good on start up from outside. The 2.75” clamp that was welded on the hanger was a treat to get over the 3” inlet pipe. Removal of the stock exhaust and install of this was not bad. System seems well made, shipping was fast, the delivery almost beat the confirmation email

So I have a 98 f150 with 4.6 in it And I bought this because my friends told me they were a good exhaust and who boy are they good!!! I have new headers on my truck and then with these under my truck hard to would recommend it to anyone
