great hard cover, the top layer hides the trifold to make it look like one solid piece, I got many compliments over the years. the only downside is the top layer only lasted 3 years before it started to shrink, peel and tear. and it happened mostly on the sides and panel joints. good news is, it doesn’t effect the structure of he cover, you can completely remove the top layer and clean up the old adhesive and still have a functioning cover. Extang customer service is great and these covers have a complete 5 year warranty which they honored with nothing more than proof of purchase and pictures of the damage. they were also very good at replacing the strut stowing clips that tend to break. overall great cover

It was really good, at first, but now doesn’t even function right. The cover is peeling off the latches destroyed its unusable after three years of ownership.

I like that this cover insets and doesn’t sit on top of the bed rails. It’s a sleek design and so far has done a good job of protecting bed cargo from the elements. Install is very easy for one person and is a quick process with basic hand tools. The only complaint I have is the seal at the bulk head of the bed. It’s comes with an adhesive weather stripping that goes on the bulk head to seal the front end, but may be a better seal if that strip were wider or more guidance on placement were provided in the installation instructions. We had a hard rain storm the day after I installed this and the bed was almost completely dry when I opened it, however there was some water leaking in the front at the bulk head. Will be contacting Extang to see if this is installation error and may possibly add more weather stripping at the bulk head to try and improve this issue.
