Works very well! I’m not sure how accurate the gas milage is. If it’s accurate, this thing will pay for itself within a year. Massive power gains while in performance mode! I can’t wait to add more performance parts to see what this thing can really do.

Ordered this model and just some info on the company. Edge and Superchips are the same company. This unit did not work even though it said it would. I have a 2015 f-150 2.7L. I contacted the company via phone and was told to give them a couple weeks for an update. Update never came and email was never answered. After a month I returned it to get a refund. Was a $400 paper weight. Would NOT recommend this product.

I was getting 16 MPG in the city now I get 18 MPG. Hwy was 18 to 17 MPG now I’m getting 20.8 MPG. Running 33×12.5R20 Nitto RECON GRAPPLER.

i recently received my tuner expecting to have installed and ready to within 20 minutes not so much. Actual plugging the tuner into the OBD2 port and mounting it on the window is complete in about 3 minutes, my issue is the tuner said i needed to update the software so i did then i put it back in the the truck to find it said i needed to update which i just did. Called tech support and was told they needed to send another file over for it to update. The following day i updated with the new file sent by tech support, the new file didn’t help. Called tech support again explained the situation and was told unfortunately Ford doesn’t send them all the files to all the vehicles. now they have to send my PCM files to their engineering department to have a program built for my truck. I was told it could take up to 3 days for them to build a program. Hopefully once this is complete I can use my tuner and right a positive review. maybe my headache will fix the problem for anyone else trying to use this tuner on the 2018 F150

American Muscle staff is awesome to start. The product is as advertised and reviewed. Video from American Muscle is accurate and is the best review on this product. Highly recommend you watch the video and talk them. Best customer service out there. Now for the meat! Note 1: I Installed it on my 2017 F150 XL 5.0. Initial update using Edge provided software from website was instructed from manufacture before install of this product. Only problem I had was I had to update the tuner using the Fusion software from Edge twice. I got a error saying it can open a file during my initial install. If you install and get a error, immediately re download the update. Follow the instructions on the provided install guide provided with the product. Its very important.. If you still cant figure it out Call edge tech support. I was able to figure it out without the call since it was after hours when I ran into the issue. No big deal and I was still done in about 20 minutes with some thought. NOTE 2: The 2017 F150 sometime will activate a power save mode. If this occurs don’t panic. Best to install when truck has been used regularly. If Vehicle sits more than a couple of days the power save mode may engage. There is no fix for this based on research. If the update is installed properly on tuner then you will get through the saving of your stock ECU program before the power save mode engages. If this occurs the edge tuner will prompt you to toggle your key to the run position. Don’t crank your vehicle as instructed. The tuner will continue and finish the update. Economy tune is the best value on this tuner. Race tune works well but it is not as good as MDT or SCT as indicated. You will still be impressed with your gains in fuel economy and power none the less. This is a great well rounded tuner. The selectable tunes is best in class overall since the MDT and SCT tuners are designed for HP and torque with 91 octane and don’t really offer anything for the 87 octane users. You wont be disappointed. Hope this Helps!

My goal was to hopefully get better economy without sacrificing performance. In Economy mode, the performance seems to be about the same as stock. MPG dropped from 17.5 to 16.7. (I was getting 19 before I put a canopy on) Not impressed, and ready to remove it and cut my losses.

Works ok, got it to see if it would help with the gas mileage. So far I think it has added around 3 mpg.

Installed this product, definately woke the truck up big time, however (and this could just be a problem I noticed) that the Level 1 Economy tune gave better performance than the Level 3, still a great product though

I honestly didn’t think I would realize a change in power. I got the tuner to make the truck more efficient. But damn was I wrong I’m more than pleased. The only knock I can put on it is sometimes the display freezes but other than that if you’re looking to get one you won’t regret it.
