Raw Sound. The Borla Cat-Back Exhaust System gives your F-150 back some of the raw growl it was made to handle. This is because it downsizes on the factory muffler, which strangles the sound out of your truck. Instead, it filters away high-pitched sounds and allows low-pitched ones to shine. This gives you a powerful yet subtle tone to show off.High Performance. In addition to sound, the Borla Cat-Back Exhaust System adds to your truck’s overall power. Thanks to it’s design, you get a…

Easy install looks beautiful and i love the way it rumbles when i start it up. this is how it should have come from the factory.:)

The system has a nice low rumble on startup and then levels off. I would disagree with the YouTube review and say this is more of a 2 out of 5 for loudness. It’s a slight bump above the stock system, with a lower rumble and a bit more volume. You can definitely tell it’s not a stock system. I would have liked a touch more volume out of it, but it does sound good and I’m not sorry I bought the system. There is no drone at any speed that I have found. I went with the milder system, because we tow a large camper in the summers and even a mid-level system would be screaming pulling 30ft of camper. Not ideal with 2 little kids in the back sleeping, even for a shorter trip. The fitment was good. I struggled to get the driver’s side tip positioned properly, but I got it eventually. Install tip: if you have a receiver hitch installed, you’ll need a 24mm box end wrench to loosen the suspension bolt. There is no room for a deep well socket, because of the hitch frame work. I have not put a ton of miles on the truck since installing the exhaust, but I have notice 1 mpg improvement in avg mileage.

This was the exact exhaust I was looking for. No drone or excessive noise while cruising, but sounds mean when under acceleration. Easy to install. Took about 1.5 hours by myself in the driveway. With a lift, I would guess under 1 hour.

  4. JamesQ

This system is quiet on the highway yet comes to life when you “nail it”! Jim

  5. Duktapemp

This is a perfect sound with hiflow down pipes, sounds amazing, not like a rice burner..

I considered many cheaper options first, however did not want drone, cackling or raspy bark. This is the one, I can hear it when I want and it will quiet down and be elegant. You will always hear an awesome deep rumble while accelerating but once desired speed is reached it is quiet with no drone, I can talk or hear my radio perfectly. If you want to buy a second system when your budget one rots off figure the cost of two, then pony up and buy quality once and be done.

This borla is amazing high quality amazing sound. .

  8. Drew150

It’s exactly what I wanted. For me that was an exhaust that sounded great but didn’t wake the neighborhood and was quiet while cruising. Exhaust note is low growl. You’ll hear it starting up cold and or when you get at it but is minimal otherwise. Will be great for long trips. Not cheap but is high quality.

This exhaust is the best fit for the F-150 if you’re wanting a fine tuned, tight exhaust note. I first tried the S-type Borla & returned it. It was too loud and had a bit of back-rumble on deceleration. I’m 60 and wanted something to sound “tuned” and not loud. The Borla Touring is the closest thing you’ll find to the stock sound of a high performance car.

Had a cheap system I bought on Amazon and ran for a couple of years, not bad for the money. Wanted to upgrade and this was on sale. Also didn’t want something droney AKA Flowmaster. The quality and materials on this system are outstanding and the sound is about the same as stock. Performance wise I have a S&B intake,Edge tuner and this exhaust. My gas mileage is the same and can’t tell any increase in power. Ford did a pretty good job with the 5.0 so there is not a lot of room for improvement like the 3.5 ecoboost. Anyway it looks good is made very well and an easy install. Nuff said!
