This exhaust is perfect if you want it to sound more aggressive but not over the top. You can’t hear it when your driving on the freeway so it’s not annoying at all. After a while I did want it to be a little louder so I added short tube headers and an x-pipe. That makes it sound a lot more throaty and deep so if you want that then I recommend adding those as well. Install was super easy and if your doing it yourself you obviously need to have a lift. This is worth your money and a great product!

Paired the Borla S-Type Cat-Back with a JLT Cold Air Intake with Install, at Fathouse Performance Fabricator’s, Martinsville Indiana. Went from a Baseline SAE Dyno Stock, Premium 93, DYNO SAE Baseline for Coyote turned out at 403 HP with 390 Ft pounds Torque. After new Mods above with Dual Fuel Premium 93 and EE85 on the same Dyno, came in at 445 HP/450 Ft pounds on E85. 5 HP Less and 3 Ft pounds Less on Premium 93. Not Typical but close enough for a new Power Level and sounding Daily Driver. Dual Tune done on 6th Gear for Automatic Transmission. By Fathouse.

Looks and sounds awesome! I had no experience with working on vehicles and this was a great first project with the help of a couple friends. Not extremely difficult, no welding required. This exhaust is the perfect balance of loud but not too loud, and has a nice deep, rich sound to it. 20/10.

Sooooo after a year of trying to find an exhaust system for my car I ended up with the Borla s-type. I didn’t want this one because everyone kept telling me it’s not loud at all. Watching videos on it, I agreed like a dumbass! I decided to add them with headers. I did it all at once! Now it’s hard to find a system for a convertible so that’s why I went with this one. All I have to say is never listen to anyone! This is loud!!! Like really loud!!! I give it 10 stars if I could!!

Used the factory mufflers with a resonator delete H-pipe for the first 3 years and loved the tone, but it started to get a bit raspy. Loved the sound clips of the Borla and others mentioned points I considered important, like no droning. The S-Type is the most amazing sounding exhaust you can find. Just the right amount of bass without droning at highway speeds. And when you hit the go fast pedal, it gets rowdy. Just puts a smile on my face everytime.

It is a great system. It improved my gas mileage on the highway. I now get 30mpg when cruising at 82mph. It sounds so good. I recommend the exhaust and a cold air intake for your first mods. It was easy to put. You will at least need a set of jack stand, if you are going to install yourself.

I bought my Mustang GT used and the previous owner had installed a cheap exhaust system that droned something awful at highway speeds. This new Borla S Type sounds wonderful. Reserved at cruise and fierce when you put your foot in it. Best of all…NO DRONE! I couldn’t be happier, best of all my wife is happy too.

I have had many mustangs with many exhaust combos, this may be my favorite! Install only took a couple hours on ramps in the garage at home by myself. Hardest part is removing factory exhaust (all one piece) by yourself. To make it easier I removed not only the hanger brackets near the axle but also removed the muffler hanger bracket behind rear bumper, and let the stock mufflers rest on a makeshift rolling platform while I gently worked the whole system back gripping just behind the stock resonator on each tailpipe. Install of the new system was very simple, there are many videos on YouTube and American muscle to guide you. Most importantly though how does it sound? To me it is just perfect. It is not obnoxiously loud or shrill but definitely has a deep balanced tone. when you put it down, the exhaust really opens up and puts a smile from ear to ear, but can also be somewhat subdued if you are trying to be quiet in the neighborhood. It is a much needed improvement over stock. If you have close neighbors I wouldn’t go any louder than this kit!

This exhaust kit was the right choice to replace the old custom exhaust in my Mustang, Easy to install and sounds awesome!
