If it would not have been for technical department helping me with install , I’d still be lost I’m Not a computer person but the Technical department walked me through it 100% Great service The minute I drove out of the drive way I felt a huge difference in performance

Well I have had tuners for several of my cars / trucks and they all do their jobs in one flavor or another. While this one doesn’t have all the bells and whistles as the one I had for my WRX, it nevertheless gets the job done just as well. Maybe it’s the Truck guy simplicity. This really shines with the Livewire software.

I got good response to my 2018 GT using a Bama Rev-X and thought to try in on my F150 5.0. I loaded the regular gas performance program even though my truck runs on E-85. The difference is very noticeable…Wondering about the 93 octane setting now?!

The Bama definitely produces eye opening power in every aspect to my 2020 f150. I was completely shocked the torque increase and high RPM power over stock is night and day. Only thing is with the 10 speed tranny you have to work with the additional power wisely, meaning if you floor it then suddenly let off then try to get back in it again it’s gonna shift so hard it feels like you broke a driveshaft. If you give time to learn how to apply the extra horsepower to your 10 speed the computer will relearn and hard shifts will be a thing of the past! Highly recommend to anyone wanting more power out of a Coyote!!

The install was simple and straightforward. Tunes worked great. Really improved and smoothed the shift points of the transmission, especially for sport mode. Engine is all around more responsive and no noticeable lag points like factory tune through the gears. Disappointed that this tuner doesn’t offer the user the ability to edit factory settings and permanently turn off silly features like auto start/stop. Also wish I didn’t still have to switch my truck into sport mode every time I turn it on. Should have a permanent override setting.

Over all great tuner really woke my 2018 f150 5.0 up. I gave it 3 out 5 stars because of the shifts. both tunes are great, (87 Econ), (93pref/tow) don’t get me wrong. On the highway shifting into 8th gear feels like my transmission is about to fly off with both tunes. I have since restored my truck to stock and it quit acting up.

So far I like the Tuner, just installed yesterday. You can definitely tell the throttle lag is gone and the shift points have been changed. I thought I was getting 2 tunes already installed but have been unable to find the 93oct tune on the device.

I talked to customer support over the phone before I made the purchase and they assured me this is what I needed to get 2 custom free tunes for the Boss 302 Intake Manifold. I was told it would work well but no one mentioned they will not tune a aftermarket manifold. Meanless to say I had to spend $225.00 extra at 5star to let them make me a custom tune for my truck. The device works extremely well and easy to use. It’s said to be paired with up to 3 vehicles but that is only when you return the stock tune on the vehicle you are using and unpair it to pair to another, a common thing with these tuners. Overall it worked like a charm, but I am very salty about being given the wrong information and having to spend more money and more time finding where to go.

Eliminating the start/stop makes this tuner worth twice what I paid. Throttle response improved dramatically, transmission shifts right now. A little boost in power overall..fuel mileage increased with the 91 octane tune…didn’t expect that. Big thumbs up!
