    Install was easy as ever with AFE products, fitment is great and performance is noticed. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star isn’t because of the product itself but rather its functionality and i want you to take away this; if you’re going to get an intake, get a closed box design. Intake air temp during the warmer months especially while idle will climb extremely high, 150+. Get a closed box design that keeps engine compartment temperatures more isolated from intake temperatures. For any season other than summer, this intake is great. But as i said, comparing this to the stock air box that is a closed design during the summer, the intake air temp was much higher when idling even for a minute or two.

    This was a relatively easy installation. Definitely increases the growl, even with stock exhaust. I have better throttle response; though this CAI by itself isn’t going to pin you to the back of your seat when you take off. No Tune required and legal in Commiefornia. Looks good under the hood. I believe a big difference will be felt with LT headers and a tune (which is coming soon). Options are limited on the install time. about 1.5 hours.

    I’ve been holding off on a cai for years hearing it don’t make a difference and stock is better.. I did this in about 30 mins and I’m not mechanically inclined what so ever lol.. I love this product it gives a deep muscle tone and sounds good with my ghost cam

    I had an afe on my old car and was glad to be able to get one for my mustang, great fitment and good quality, a little too much oil when I got it but it worked fine.

    I ordered, got to me quickly, which is very nice. Install was simple as well the instructions looked good. This also comes As with a sound tube delete, which is also nice. Come comes pre oiled, which is also nice. Makes a really nice whistle around 2k rpm for me. It does not require a tune with the stock grill, but if one does get an aftermarket grill then then it will most likely have a opening there, thus requiring to account for the leanness. All in all great intake would buy again.

    I definitely can notice a major difference in HP and TQ. I think it provides more of a noticeable difference when cat back exhaust system is placed along to compliment the intake.

    Well the product itself is fine, works well and looks good. However: 1. Instructions look like they were mimeographed in 1975 and have been repeatedly copied on a BW zerox. AFE should use its office printer to make a readable, legible sheet with color photos! 2. Crankcase line in WRONG, requires a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter, clamps and 1/2 hose. AFE should include the standard Ford connector, so we can clip the existing line. 3. Everything came thrown into a big box. No, it wasn’t damaged. But one of the LOVELY AFE stickers found it’s way into the intake tube and lived there totally invisibly. Once I went driving to assess the mod, it found it’s way into the throttle body and totally blocked the air intake. That’s when the fun really begun!
