Shifts smooth and just the perfect amount of notchiness.

This was fairly simple to install given its design. Firmed up the shifter feel quite a bit which honestly didn’t take much over the factory marshmallow shifter. Great build quality. Install time is between 1-2h depending on if you have sasquatch hands or ones that would fit into the shifter tunnel.

Overall this was a very solid shifter. The included instructions were more than good enough for the install. The only thing required was a person with thinner arms as if you have sasquatch arms you will have a hard time getting them into the places to access all the bolts. Overall, well worth the money.

Good install it was a simple task. Will test it out tomorrow for performance results!!

Install was significantly harder than expected but i did it on jackstands lol. I have the blowfish shifter bracket and oh man this shifts and feels perfect coming from old stock one.

This is an excellent upgrade. I really enjoy the way it makes the shifts feel and sound. The video they have for the shifter install DRASTICALLY oversimplifies the difficulty level of the job. There are three areas of the install that they kind of gloss over. 1) Once you unbolt the oem shifter, you really need a second person in the car to help pull it out while you work the support arm around everything to free it up. 2) The bolt that holds the front of the support arm onto the top of the transmission has very little room to remove and re-install. You may need to cut and remove some of the soundproofing to allow enough room to work. If you don’t, when you go to put the bolt back in even though it’ll go back in the hole and even make several turns, it can begin to cross-thread. This really caught me off guard because I didn’t think a bolt that had already been successfully started could get cross-threaded. Well it can, and if you keep monkey-fisting it after it’s already stuck you can strip the threads in the bolt hole. So if it doesn’t go in easy, save yourself A LOT of trouble (and possibly money) and just free up some more space to work. 3) Also, there is a collar in the oem support arm that the bolt will go through that holds the bushings in place. That needs to be removed and gently tapped into place with a rubber hammer in the new part. Not only does it hold the bushings in place, it also helps guide the above-mentioned bolt correctly through the hole. Had I known this info before doing the install, it could’ve been done in a couple hours instead of a whole weekend and it would’ve cost me a lot less money.

Nice firm fit inside my butt, also shifts well and reduces throw

Awesome shift feel but please, please, use lock tight on the shift linkage. I made the mistake and it lasted almost a year then suddenly left me stranded on the road. I’ve searched the whole web and there are no replacement bushings. Factory bushings will not work. I’m here writing this review because I’m about to buy this for the 2nd time just for the bushings

i got this just for that solid muscle car shift and i got what i wanted this is one of the best upgrades i have made to the car to date i recently did a mcleod street muscle clutch kit and a mcleod lightened flywheel which was great with the stock shifter but still a bit slopy this sr short throw made a huge difference no the car is fun to drive again i do recommend having a second set of hands and 10000000% YOU MUST USE BLUE LOCK TIGHT OR YOU WILL END UP STRANDED i have seen many reviews on here with people ending up on the side of the road because the shifter nut falls off don’t be that guy
