Just installed this on my truck wasn’t at hard to put on went for a little drive I can really tell there is more response when you get on the gas and can hear the turbos better. Not sure about mpg yet but I will update and take pictures to post

Easy, straightforward install. Seems to be quality built. Only hear more engine noise at WOT. Can’t speak to economy, or performance yet. Butt dyno seems the same. Maybe slightly better throttle response.

Easy install take your time est. 1hr… no that 5.0 can breathe better… I haven’t checked my mpg because I’m always in open throttle so mpg means nothing…

Overall, I am very happy with the momentum XP Alpha Raptor Cold Air Intake System – Blue w/ Pro 5R Filter. This is coming from someone who is a very finicky consumer. The main reason to buy this intake (obviously) is for the blue intake runners – they look awesome! They don’t disappoint. The installation was a lot more challenging than one might think. The main area of difficulty is the connection of the blue intake runners, air cleaner element/filter and the air filter Box Housing all of which must be put together simultaneously – NOT sequentially. This is because the air filter element attachment to the Air Filter Box Housing is very delicate and any slight pressure will pop it in/out of the air box. The solution in addition to requiring time, also needs generous amounts of WD40 to lubricate the ALL THE parts and work with them until you’re able to get the whole system to fit together. (impossible without WD40 & patience). Once done, it looks fantastic. One last note – there is a small rubber tube that is supposed to be mounted on the bottom between the two blue tubes. It wouldn’t fit in my installation, so I just sealed the inlets on the tubes and ditched the tube. I’m taking down one star for additional effort in installation. Otherwise, I think it looks great in my truck and I’m very happy with aFe and recommend their product.

I wanted something to really optimize MPG through power gain, and bolt-ons are the first of many upgrades that definitely improve my MPG and throttle response noticeably enough without a tune or anything else. I was surprised again it is a part of a larger plan, but it works well alone for sure. buying a bent tube open box and having to reshape them, the powder coating is durable for sure!
